Melinda is a musician and visual artist based in the Chicago area. She works full-time as a graphic designer with an award-winning marketing group, and is passionate about creating and recording music whenever she can.

Predominantly a singer and keyboardist, she is fond of vintage synths and currently has over a dozen keyboards—both old and new—in her personal studio. In addition, she plays oboe, hammered dulcimer and hand percussion and enjoys experimenting with various unusual musical instruments.

She also loves to do what she can to promote other musicians she feels artistically akin to. Recently she has been spreading music by Burning Shed artists Peter Chilvers, Tim Bowness and Darkroom in the form of CD-R’s the artists have graciously allowed to be distributed freely.

Melinda has also been listening to and spreading the word about Porcupine Tree for about nine years. In late 2002, she joined forces with Randy Hiatt to create the covers page. In the summer of 2003, she became involved in Porcupine Tree's official street level marketing campaign and coordinated efforts for the Chicago area team members as well as designing the Porcupine Tree/Opeth joint tour flyers and postcards.
